Sara Moran is an artist from East Bay, California. Her artworks extract from personal narratives/ self-reflections. She makes paintings, digital art/collages, and fiber art. Sara has painted since childhood, and taught herself to sew, which was integrated into her artworks later on. At the age of sixteen she had a paid internship for the documentary “Untold Stories,” which highlighted the resilience of women that contributed to the war efforts in the shipyards of Richmond CA. during WWII. The film was exhibited at the Richmond Museum of History. In addition, Sara took her first drawing class in high school “foundations of drawing” which inspired her to keep expanding in art. “I enjoyed studying how light and shadow take on objects, another microscopic lens to my process. By then, I saw many possibilities in terms of artistic expression and forms.” Sara attended Contra Costa College and San Francisco State University. Has a B.A in Art Education. Sara has exhibited her artworks at a few galleries throughout the Bay Area, and currently continues with her art practice.
